A hike and a rock

Last weekend we took the steep route up, up, up and every time we stopped to breathe it was glorious.

The crystal lake invited us to run on down and jump in, but we were wily enough to see the snow on the mountains and decline. Hypothermia alert. We continued up to the top of the hill and found a rock with a strong resemblance to a gorilla, or a monkey.

We chatted, we lunched, we descended. What a fabulous day!
